ABOUT MULINDI JAPAN ONE LOVE PROJECT

MULINDI JAPAN ONE LOVE PROJECT is a non-profit organization, dedicated to bring mobility and independence to people with disabilities.

In the past, all Rwandans lived together, sharing one culture and one language. However, at the end of 19th Century, Rwandan history was changed by European colonists and the nations were divided into three different ethnic groups. People started to kill each other since 1959, and there was an unspeakable genocide in 1994.

Due to the genocide in 1994, more than 1,000,000 innocent people were killed, and many people became disabled because of landmines, cut off their body by machete, as well as medical malpractice and accident. There are an estimated 800,000 people in Rwanda today who are disabled.

MULINDI JAPAN ONE LOVE PROJECT was established in 1996 in order to help these people.

In 2007, we achieve a great milestone by opening another orthopedic workshop in Burundi, neighbor country of Rwanda.

In 2008, we opened a mission NGO in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. to raise the fund for support our activities in Rwanda and Burundi. We registered as a charitable non-profit organization, and got 501(c)(3) for tax deduction. We raise the fund and are selling African Art.
Since we began our mission, we have helped more than 8,000 disabled people by supplying artificial limbs, crutches, wheelchairs, and other medical devices free of charge.
